I was planning on doing this huge big thing on Valentines Day, with balloons and roses.
The place I worked had a sale every V-Day, lots of people, lots of noise. So I was gonna get on the over head speaker, have Irma come up and then propose. (we were both working for the same company)
Anyway, so on Saturday, February 9th 2008, me and her went to Santa Fe for the day. Just driving around, looking at shops and talking. We went into a Bridal shop to just browse. The salesman asked if we wanted to register and I told him we aren’t even engaged yet, just looking. I realized I didn’t really want to wait.
So, about 11 o’clock at night, after being called into work when we got back from Santa Fe (long story), as we sat outside of a taco bell eating a chalupa and a grilled steak burrito, I pulled out the ring and laid it on the dash.
She smiled. She laughed. She smiled.
I opened the box, took the ring out, told her I loved her and wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. That she is my Para Siempre. (My Forever) And I asked her to marry me.
She said “si… si si si”
And I slipped the ring over her finger.
And this is our story…you know… more or less. 🙂
